Loosely based on the Food Network’s Iron Chef, Iron Fork is a light-hearted competition between local chefs. Chefs are presented with an ingredient box containing pantry staples (protein, vegetable, starch etc.) and one mystery ingredient. Their task is to create an appetizing and healthy dish from the ingredients they receive. 25 local restaurants are on-site sampling signature dishes as well as beer, liquor and wine samples – all included in the ticket price. City Pages is producing the event, with a portion of the ticket proceeds benefiting Second Harvest Heartland.
